Window Safari

A window is a connection between the world outside and the one behind the walls, between the public and the private areas. In the trophy shot you can see the private, individual sphere. You can see the kitchen and some posessions of the inhabitants. But while looking inside, you can also see what the people inside see, when they look out. You see the festival tent, for example, and your own mirror image, that reflects from the windowpane. It is amazing, how many different shapes of this form of connecting different athmospheres there are. Sometimes you can only see one way through. It can be horizontal, vertical, open, appealing or inhospitable. Sometimes it leads the view from inside out or from outside in. In every case, the inside melts with the outside.
